The story of Mohenjo Daro movie revolves around Sarman, played by Hrithik Roshan, a young man from a rural village. Due to recurring dreams and visions, Sarman is drawn to the city, which he believes holds the key to his past. Upon reaching the city, Sarman encounters the highly advanced urban civilization and its rigid social structure.

As Sarman unravels the secrets of Mohenjo Daro, he becomes entangled in a complex web of politics, power struggles, and forbidden love. He falls in love with Chaani, portrayed by Pooja Hegde, a priest’s daughter, and the chosen one for an upcoming ritual. Their love story is further complicated by the oppressive rule of Maham, played by Kabir Bedi, who seeks to maintain his dominance over the city.
